If anyone has cardboard boxes (especially book-sized ones) or plastic storage tubs with lids that are going spare, I could sure use them right about now. My backup plan is to raid the liquor store down the block until they get mad and won't give me any more free boxes.

I keep reading your title as "I have too much CARP," which is of course a completely different problem with a completely different set of solutions.

(I might be able to score some boxes from the cardboard recycling bin at my apartment building--I believe pick-up is Thursday morning, so tonight should be a decent score--but you'd have to figure out how to get them from me. Might not be worth it.)

Exactly. I will keep you in mind if I have future carp problems, since you seem to have them well in hand!

Unfortunately, this appears to be a bad week for boxes (or rather, people were more enthusiastic than usual when it came to breaking them down), but I grabbed the handful that looked to be in decent shape if you make it to town on Saturday and want to swing by.

We have a number of medium-large cardboard boxes kicking around the front hall. I'm also fairly sure I have a crapton of banker's boxes in the basement--perfect for book transport--but I'd eventually want those back.

I dunno if random extra suggestion is helpful/not helpful, but when we moved recently we got ~100 boxes from Craigslist/Freecycle and then sent them back into the Craigstlist/Freecycle circuit when we were done.

I don't have any boxes, but I can recommend Whole Foods grocery bags for moving books in. They hold up really well and they are the perfect size for a good carrying weight. I've moved a lot of books that way over the years.

If you get desperate, I have a ton of really nice moving boxes but you'd pay whatever to ship them. It's a last resort cause shipping but if you need, many boxes.

Which reminds me, I need to get rid of these boxes eventually. Or move them away from inevitable dust so I can eventually maybe resuse them.
