This was so much fun to make, y'all.

Also, I should note: his cape has a snap hidden under the collar, so you can take it off. The rest of his clothes are there to stay, sadly; maybe I'll try to remedy that in future versions.

If you'd like this one, he's for sale as soon as I redo his boots, actually. But if you want a Tim-Robin, and don't mind that all the fiddly details of his costume would make him kinda pricey, I'd love to make one.

What fiddly details would you add, and what would you estimate for a price for a Tim-Robin versus the currently completed Robin?

His costume's just a lot more complicated-- I honestly have no idea how I'd do his cape, for one thing, and he's got so many freaking pockets.

Once I sit down and start cutting out pieces, I'll have a better idea of how big a difference there is between them. I spent at least six or seven hours on this one, and I was gonna price it at $35 or $40.

Actually, you know what? The problem is, I feel like a jerk for charging my friends for things I had so much fun making, and I'm crap at judging what a fair price should be. And now I feel kind of silly.

Just because you had fun making it doesn't mean that your time and effort -- and finished product -- aren't worth compensation, even if it's a pukka shell or a goat in barter.

As I have no pukka shells and no goats (I had to fill up my gas tank, which meant I had to barter my last goat to the good people of BP), all I can offer is folding money.

I think $40-ish is about as much as I ought to spend (I'm trying to keep a closer eye on my budget, because if I don't, then I start randomly buying superheroes made of felt and then I bemoan how broke I am). So, that said, I would love either this Robin, or a Tim-Robin that you make *IF* you find you can make one that's similar to this Robin in terms of time/effort/materials.

Would that work? Can we conduct a goat-free barter?

I think that'd work fine! Let me hit the craft store tomorrow and get more fabric-- luckily, felt is seventeen cents a square, so I don't really have to factor in materials cost. I'll start working on a Tim, and if he's a success he's all yours.
