1. Knitting is soothing, it's an excellent creative outlet, it's a way to step back from the whole nightmare that retail clothing can be (see also: sewing), it's equally awesome at stress and boredom relief, and also I have a whole thing about how our culture has given itself a complex about artisanship since the advent of mass production. The Modernists are involved, Brave New World gets quoted, it's a whole big thing.

And when all that is done with, you get scarves.

2. Yes.

...probably. Um. It depends on several factors, among them whether or not I need to go do laundry at my parents' house Friday night so I'll have something to wear for my grandma's birthday dinner on Saturday. which is *much more important than it sounds,* believe me.

... so yeah, let's go with probably.
