AUGH GROMMETS SUCK SO BAD.

Seriously. Any sewing project that has "ball-peen hammer" on the materials list is, for the record, ONE TO AVOID. I am going to be like a WEEK with these fucking grommets, oh my GOD. I mean, it will theoretically look awesome when I'm done, but I have to hammer in like 20 goddamn grommets before I can find that out. CRAP.

Fannishly (it occurs to me that I have not talked about anything remotely fandomy in a while. Oh, except that BSG post, but my point stands) I realized today why I always get Billy and Teddy mixed up when I talk about the Young Avengers, even though I know perfectly well who they both are. My thought process went something like this: first, I realized that, yay, comics fandom has a Ted again! sure he's blond and relatively laconic, as compared to his more high-strung, dark-haired boyfriend, but-- oh, wait, THAT's why I mix them up! Billy ACTS LIKE A TED. And therefore I apparently think *he* should be named Ted, and his boyfriend should have a name that starts with a B.

Shhhh. It makes sense if you're me.

Oh, and I think I have a urinary tract infection, which, ew, but I got those cranberry concentrate pills and they seem to be helping, as I no longer feel like I have to pee every five minutes. I wonder if that's what being pregnant feels like?

I had a bladder infection once ... I was like 'OMG why must I pee all the time' but I didn't go see a doctor 'cause I figured it was no big deal, it'd go away on its own. It didn't. The symptoms went from 'pees often' to 'pees blood, and in total agony' in three days. So if you didn't talk to le_doctor yet, and it seems like your cranberry pills aren't completely helping ... go nownownow.

I've been through a lot of painful stuff. The root of my tooth rupturing my gum, hitting a doorframe with my foot while running (broke 3 toes to oblivion), face-meets-chair-goodbye-front-teeth, a stomach bug that quit me 20 pounds in two weeks ... but there was nothing as bad as peeing on that last day.

Ow! I've never broken a bone-- oh, other than my elbow that one time-- but I knocked my front baby teeth out *twice*. Once when I was three, falling off a swingset, and can still sort of remember being rushed to the dentist so he could put them back in. It was sort of unnecessary, though, because two years later I was sitting in a double stroller with my little sister, and she smacked me in the mouth with the back of her head and knocked them out again.
