that spring thing

Between Daylight Savings, the finally-nice weather, and the massive amount of cleaning I've done this weekend, it's really starting to feel like winter's over. But speaking of cleaning. Oh man. I really need to clean on a *regular* basis, so I don't have to do this sort of massive top-to-bottom room overhaul, but it *does* feel awfully nice when I finally get around to it. My only problem is that, because I keep coming across fabric and buttons and beads and things that I had stashed around my room, I end up getting ideas for things i want to make, when I ought to be cleaning. But I'm doing okay-- the current standings are:

3 loads of laundry done
4 bookshelves organized
1 gazillion items of clothing put away
40% of my room cleaned to my satisfaction
1 giant jar full of vintage buttons (so pretty!)
1 tote bag full of trims, bias tape and ribbons, hung on my closet doorknob
6 aprons in my posession, holy crap, why do I have so many aprons? (I hung the cutest one on the back of my bedroom door)
1 wicker basket of vintage bow ties (don't ask)
2 patchwork cuff bracelets made
1 pinchushion made (I needed somewhere to PUT THE PINS, okay?)
3 times I thought I heard the ice cream man and went outside, only to find it was a false alarm
1 care package mostly assembled, although the mouse ears look kind of lonely, so I shall come up with some more stuff to add
