Just finished watching Anastasia, which, okay, I know, travesty that laughs in the face of history, makes Pocahontas look accurate, blah blah blah, I LIKE it, okay? The songs are fantastic and some of the animated sequences are stunning-- the scene at the beginning where the dancers come out of the paintings, especially, and the Paris musical number with all the fantastic clothes.

And really, if you pretend that it's a story about the lost princess Janastasia of Brussia, it holds together just as well and you don't feel the urge to throttle whoever came up with the script.

Unrelatedly: Nightwing is the new Slade. Discuss.

I love Anastasia!! Awesome movie with great music, graphics, writing...everything! It's one of my favorite animated films. I don't think people who make these films really care about history...look at Mulan. I mean I loved it, but...no. But you're right, look at it as fiction, and it's an awesome movie :D
