Feb. 2nd, 2007 10:29 pmSpent about an hour at work today just drawing pictures of Narnia characters for one of the third-graders. Once I figured out the legs, Reepicheep was *so much fun* to draw. I put him in little mouse-sized vaguely Elizabethan clothes: hat with big feather, ruff, big puffy sleeves. And then I filled up the whole other side of the page with the legs and torso of someone backing away, hands held up in a "please don't skewer me, tiny Mouse!" gesture. I also did Dragon!Eustace, with Lucy in Caspian's borrowed clothes trying to soothe him.
Man, it's nice sometimes to pretend that last book never happened, and remember how much I loved the other six. Also, nice to get drawing requests from the kids that I can actually do-- usually it's entirely too much "Draw me a Playstation!" and "Draw me a guy with laser eyes, and, and a robot, and he's exploding and he has a jetpack and there's a tiger!"
