Five questions from [livejournal.com profile] sarahsworld:

1. What do you really want to do before you leave for college?

Kiss a boy. It's silly and teenagery, I know, but I want a gorram summer romance. Most of my friends have heard my "whyyyy don't the boys like me?" rant already, I'm sure, so I won't go into it here, but-- whyyyy? I'm not talking Twu Wuv or anything, just someone kissable and nice.

Also, I want to finish the story I'm working on. It's appalling how lazy I am about it-- writing, as it turns out, is *hard*, and I really have to kick myself in the butt to get anything wriiten. So I might not finish, realistically speaking, but I'd like to.

2. Favorite current band, and why; describe your favorite song of theirs.

I'm riding a wave of TMBG love right now, since I've seen them live. Favorite song, without question, would have to be "Why Does the Sun Shine," although "Bangs" is a damn close second. I love the mix of geekery, weirdness and sweet-natured poppiness you get in some of their songs.

However, I reserve the right to change my answer after I see Ben Folds at the end of the month.

3. Name three people you would trust with your life, other than your parents.

This is a tough one. It occurs to me that, while I've made great amounts of progress in this having-a-social-life thing, over the course of high school, I tend to let friendships slide when I don't have school or BBG or whatever exterior thing it is that forces me to interact with people. So I don't know right now who, besides my sister (she's bratty, sure, but I think she'd pull through in a crisis, and I like to think I would too), I would name.

4. Favorite fandom character *ever*, and what about them makes you go squee.

Xander. He doesn't get as much fic devoted to him as I'd like, except for when he's being slashed with a vampire, but written properly he's got so many interesting things going on. I'm loving [livejournal.com profile] nwhepcat's Xander stuff right now, because quite often she makes me go "Yup, that's Xander." And that's harder to do than you'd think. I've tried to write im a few times, but I always feel like I miss something important about him-- either he's too happy-go-lucky, which is no good because our boy's got quite a lot of anger at times, or he's to grim, which doesn't work because outside of the most awful circumstance (and even in some of those; see: eye, aftermath of removal of) he's using humor to ease the tension around him. So considerate, that boy, and sometimes so monumentally dumb.

I'm also a fan of Connor as he appears on-screen and in a very few fics, and of LOP-style Neville. Also, Dawn, as I see her in my head, has a lot of interesting stuff going on that I don't think gets dealt with a lot. And poor, dear, dead Jonathan. And Oz. And Anya. And I'll stop now.

5. Film-Arwen: hot or not?

Not. Objectively pretty, but in too remote a way. I can't imagine what Aragorn sees in her, unless the point is that's she's his perfect marble-statue ice-princess, onto which he can project whateverthehell he likes. Eowyn's much more interesting.

If you want to be interviewed, leave a comment and I'll ask you five questions of my own.
