Jul. 5th, 2007 10:35 amSaw the Nats murder the Cubs courtesy of my roomate's spare ticket yesterday, and gosh I do love baseball. Even though I'm kind of awful at following the game much of the time, there's something really nice about piling onto a Metro train with several thousand fellow Washingtonians, piling off the train again, and then piling into a stadium to sit in the sunshine and watch large men hit balls with sticks.
And, really, how often do you get to see a grand slam? That was just *neat*. What a good way to spend a Fourth of July.
However, I wound up not seeing any fireworks, since the weather was kind of yucky, so instead I saw Ratatouille. Which, man. Pixar just keeps getting better at *everything,* don't they? I watched A Bug's Life when I was babysitting last week, and compared to what Pixar's doing now it looks like Tron. I could not *believe* how stunning some of the animation was: Paris in the fog, the treatment of water and fur and hair-- and, of course, the story was fantastic, too.
