things make a post
Nov. 2nd, 2011 11:31 am1. The boy I went out with on Thursday paid me a surprise visit at the flea market on Sunday, which more than made up for it being an otherwise crappy day at the flea market. He brought me flowers and socks, because I'd mentioned my feet were cold when we were texting earlier in the day. I think he's a keeper.
2. I am closing my booth at the antique mall, due to not really having the time to devote to it to make it profitable. The good news is that the warehouse is letting me keep all the books, which I will be bringing to the flea market and hopefully selling a lot quicker.
3. I am still writing really shamefully earnest Steve/Peggy Captain America fic. It will be done at some point, and we'll see if I am willing to post it under my own name.
4. I am going to attempt another story-a-week project this November, in solidarity with the people doing NaNo. Hopefully I will get at least four short stories finished, maybe five if I really crack down on my word count goals.
5. Our washing machine is broken and our sink is clogged. I am splitting the cost of a new washer with the landlords, which is a financial hit I didn't feel much like taking. Also our kitchen sink is clogged, and the landlord did not show up last night to fix it as promised. I am a little cranky with my house right now.
6. DC Big Flea is this weekend! I am excite. I'm really hoping I find some good stuff. And one of the jewelry dealers has promised to introduce me to a girl he knows who's also interested in opening a vintage store.
7. On Halloween we had a full day of work, and we took the kids to the pumpkin patch. I wore my Eleven costume, which was satisfying to me, at least. After work, on my way to Panera, I ran into a Ten, an Amy, and a Weeping Angel, which was exciting, and a couple of other people recognized my costume too. So that was worth doing.
8. Did I mention that a cute boy brought me socks? Because that was pretty great.
