teenage feeeeeelings

My housemate, the feral fan*, has been rewatching Veronica Mars, and it is making me have all sorts of feelings about teen dramas I watched back in the day. Which led to me explaining to srevans at lunch yesterday about how The OC was pretty great for like a season or two there, no, seriously it was! And just now I found myself having thoughts about Everwood, and the superhero AU I once wanted to write in which characters from The OC, Gilmore Girls, and Everwood all got superpowers and Veronica Mars was their Oracle. That would have been an awesome AU, but it is not exactly relevant to current fandom.

In other not-relevant-to-current-fandom news, the boy is helping me set the Buffy songs I wrote ages ago to music. Youtube videos may be in my future. I figure that if Harry Potter and Who can have tribute bands, then Buffy's more than earned one. Now I just need someone to sing backup on the chorus.

*my housemate consumes tons of fannish media but does not participate in fandom. I find it slightly boggling. She loves Farscape, for heaven's sake. How do you even know Farscape exists without fandom?

Small boy: *attempts to Force choke me*

Me: I thought you were playing Jedi?

Small boy: We are!

Me: Jedi don't use the Dark Side of the Force.

Small Boy: They do in the Clone Wars.

Me: And how did that turn out for them?

Small Boy: Yeah, okay. *continues playing, this time without Force choking anyone*
