My to-do list is a little scary right now. On top of plain old unpacking, and the last carload or two that needs to come over from the old house, and cleaning the old room, I have a million tiny thing that need doing.
-- trip to Ikea to replace a screw for my bedframe that got lost in disassembly
-- assemble bedframe
-- trip to Home Depot for advice in fixing the screw hole that got stripped while moving my dresser, making it currently impossible to put the mirror back on
-- swap out old dresser drawer pulls for new
-- assemble dresser
-- retrieve half my boxes from the garage
-- aquire and apply paint to walls before we get too settled in
-- new curtains EVERYWHERE (I'm thinking pale yellow in my room, with dove gray walls. I found a Jadite green nightstand at Big Flea that matches the drawer pulls, and I like those colors all together.)
-- order and install new drawer pulls for kitchen cabinets (currently torn between honey amber and root beer amber, must consult housemate)
-- buy and install many new light bulbs and a few shades
-- go through shop stuff, put in upstairs closet in an orderly fashion
-- hang art
-- lamps????
-- 18 million more things I haven't thought of, I'm sure
And I'm going to New York this weekend! Oof. But the boyfriend is competing in a crossword puzzle tournament and I really want to be there.
Anyone who is free any morning in the next few weeks, except Fridays, is MORE than welcome to come over and help in any way they are willing to. Even if that just means being in the room while I unpack, you will be helping.
