tiiiiiiired.
Oct. 6th, 2013 07:32 pmStreet festival in Takoma Park today, and I was on my feet at the vintage shop for just about every minute of it. Ow. At least I got a hundred or so pieces of inventory priced and put out beforehand, with help. And a bunch of that stuff sold, so it was worth it.
However, that still leaves my entire giant upstairs closet full of crap that needs to be gotten through. I barely even know what's up there any more-- I've been stashing all the fall/winter stuff I bought since April or so, so I'd have stock on hand for now. I know there's this one lady's entire college wardrobe from like 1967, but god knows what else I'll find.
By the way, anyone who's at loose ends due to lack of government and needs something to do? You are more than welcome to join me for a pricing party any morning/early afternoon this week or next. I will buy you lunch and insist you take home any accessories that strike your fancy.
(This is all made rather more pressing by the fact that I have just agreed to start renting space in a second shop, on Antiques Row in Kensington. It's less than half what I'm currently stocking-- just three racks-- but it does mean I'm going to have to find that much more stuff on a regular basis, and get it turned around in a much more timely fashion. Eep.)
