shiny things!
Dec. 4th, 2007 01:24 amSo, I recently lost one of my favorite necklaces. I'd had it for well over two years, wore it all the time, was really really sad to not have it. Even though my gorgeous R.E. Piland necklace had sort of taken first place, I still really missed it.
Then I realized the person who made it had a shop on Etsy, which did not exist when I bought the necklace. One message later, I had the promise of a replica, which she'll probably make this week. Man, I love the Internet.
If I weren't so very, very broke, I'd probably be buying a lot of my holiday gifts on Etsy. For that reason, I am more than willing to enable y'all into doing the same for your loved ones.
Warning: do not click any of the following links unless you want to be parted from your money!
Rachael Sudlow's peapod jewelry remains lovely and fun, and she's branched out into other pretty things.
automaton makes all sorts of interesting things.
wool and water pretty much just sells this one jointed paper doll at the moment, but it's a really cool one, and it has a bear.
girlytime squared is not quite my style, but you can't deny the awesome of her Miss Pac-man bracelet.
luxe deluxe's necklaces are lovely and ornate, although I'm drawn to the simpler ones, like this pearl pendant and this matryoshka locket.
Simone Walsh's jewelry is just stunning. Oh, man.
I swear I had non-jewelry stuff to mention. Hm. Okay. joom makes pillows and prints with birds on, and BirdNerd makes wee lovely prints, of which I bet you can guess the subject matter. Kirin & Co sells fabric, prints, and stationery. hollyhawk makes *awesome* leather cuff bracelets, along with belts and bags.
Oh, and I've been accumulating a list of people who sell various kinds of spinning fibers.
Also: beads beads beads beads beads.
And if *that* didn't do it, there's more in my favorites.
