One of the vendors at the Hyattsville farmer's market today had cherry plums. YAY. They have such a short season, and are impossible to ship, so they never make it to grocery stores, but they are SO GOOD. And now I have two quarts of them in the fridge, which I am sure will be long gone by next Tuesday.

Apparently there's about another week left to the season-- I'm really tempted to look for them at the Riverdale farmer's market on Thursday.

The problem is, even if I buy a ton while they're in season, I can't actually eat them all before they spoil. Sigh. Maybe I shouldn't have also bought green beans, mangos, corn, and bananas, all of which also need to be eaten in short order.

In other news, I still have no one to flail about the new Temeraire with. Get on it, people! You are making Laurence EVEN MORE EMO with your dilly-dallying.

What's Temeraire?

Also, do you have any persons requiring babysitting that you can't attend to, because Sarah needs some income, and asked that I pass the request along.

At the moment, no, but I will ask my regular babysitting family if they want someone to take my place while I'm on vacation.

Just yesterday I my brain suddenly went, "New Temeraire, must get to Barnes & Nobles!" and it's all your fault for making me addicted in the first place. So I will get it by this weekend, hopefully.
