holliHappy New Year! We had a party here, at which I drank rather more punch than I should have. It turns out that I get drunk in an interestingly backwards way: even when I'm so dizzy that I can hardly walk straight and need to sit very, very still to keep the room from spinning, I can carry on conversations normally and use five-dollar words.
So Yuletide has been revealed, which means I can say that I wrote Mrs. Blomfield At the Theater, a Miss Pettrigrew Lives For a Day story. I wish I'd had the time to make it longer-- I got all the plot in, but parts of it still feel to me like an outline of the story I really wanted to write-- and of course *now* I find a bunch of typos, but I think it turned out okay.
So, tomorrow I'm going to my volunteer training session for the inauguration. Super exciting? Yes. Yes it is.
