So I spent three hours going about three miles in downtown Silver Spring tonight, before giving up and concluding that I had no chance of making it home to College Park in the snow. I called srevans, who called seize, who called her large and varied acquaintance and found two very nice people to put me up for the night. So here I am. I will make another attempt at getting home in the morning, I guess.

(Fortunately, they are nerds.)

Oh man, I heard it was bad in Silver Spring. It took me 3 hours to get home from my training seminar yesterday but that was in Bowie and I live in Springfield! (And an hour of that was devoted to my sitting on the exit ramp off the Mixing Bowl onto Old Keene Mill road)!
