I... have been pretty lax about posting, haven't I? Oh dear. Well, I am going to try to be better, though lord knows I've said that before.

I am having a bit of an anxiety spike, which is no fun, so I need to get it together and call meds-doctor about what to do. It's making me realize just how anxious I was before I was medicated. I'm sort of boggled that I was even able to function back then, because this isn't even as bad!

On the bright side, book sales are going really well. We made $450 this past Sunday, which is a pretty significant sum of money in my world. I'm hoping that number will continue to climb-- and we have done better every time we've gone out-- as the weather gets warmer. I'm also starting to think about listing some books on Etsy. And if you are in the DC area and like vintage books, consider this an open invitation to come have a rummage through my garage. There is totally a fannish discount.

(Oh! Can I tell you about my favorite customer so far? We had a family come to the booth whose son was really into antiques and junk and old stuff. He looked about nine, and was tremendously excited to find a Hardy Boys book with intact dust jacket. Apparently he watches American Pickers religiously. I was just pleased to meet someone younger than me who likes antiques.)

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT DOCTOR WHO. And it is so soon! I am avoiding spoilers, though I have watched the trailers about a million times. If you know anything, DON'T TELL ME. I am going to try to do episode write-ups once it airs.

I found out about Elisabeth Sladen from Metafilter, and was sad and shocked by the news. I hope I didn't spoil [personal profile] srevans' vacation by calling to tell her.

There's a lady in Bethesda who sells vintage clothes out of her house, who I have visited with [personal profile] seize a few times. We went on Wednesday, and sadly all the things I really liked were too small. I did get a pair of WWII spats, though, because I'd seen a really cool picture of someone who'd made a set into a corset. They do, in fact, make an awesome corset with minimal effort. I am looking forward to building a costume around them.

(If you want the vintage lady's email, let me know. She is awesome and cheap, and has beautiful things.)
