I think I overhyped myself for Doctor Who. I enjoyed it, no question, but the utter delight I felt watching The Eleventh Hour, when I wasn't expecting anything much, was not present.

Also I am starting to suspect that there is a federally mandated Photoshop filter imposed on all television filmed in the US, that makes everyone look really bright and glossy. I am not used to production values this high in my Who, people. It's disconcerting.

I am reserving reaction to plot stuff until tomorrow, when I know how it ends.

High gloss beats the heck out of BBC Grey. There are assorted programs I've tried to icon and realized that they wouldn't need any fading/desaturation to be Stylish Icon fodder, in the sense of "What's going on? Why is everyone nearly monochrome without being black and white?"

This is a valid point. It just makes me feel a little like the characters have been transported to the universe where they film Glee.

Slings & Arrows is a bit oversaturated--which just makes it ironic, considering how much I <3 saturated colors, that my icons are both Not.
