avengers again!

holliWent to see Avengers for the second time, with my feral-fan housemate and her friend.
So basically I cannot even begin to get over how much I adore Black Widow right now. She's just-- nnnf, she's so fucking pragmatic and willing to let people paste their own preconceptions over what she actually is, because every time they do that she can turn it to her own advantage. She never, ever has a fight that is less than no-holds-barred, even if it's against the person she cares the most about in the world (she fucking BIT CLINT), because she always knows exactly how high the stakes are. But she's not a robot, she's not all polish and facade, sometimes she needs a minute to shake like a leaf after almost being murderated by the Hulk, but once she's done doing that it's back to business like the shaking never happened. I LOVE HER SO MUCH, YOU GUYS.
Also: Steeeeeeve, baby. BABY. He's so lost and at sea for the first part of this movie, totally anchorless, totally unsure of where he stands in the world and lashing out at everyone (especially Tony) because of it (every nasty thing he said was basically code for "YOU ARE NOT BUCKY OR PEGGY. WHY ARE NONE OF YOU BUCKY OR PEGGY.") and then when he finally has a battle to fight, when he has a direction to be pointed in and a goal in sight, it's like everything comes into focus for him. He's actually more relaxed and at ease during the fight scenes than he is anywhere else, and when he's fighting he's completely in his element. And I just wonder-- what's going to happen to him now that the fighting's over? Is he going to end up back in the gym with the punching bags? BABY NO.
And Bruce! Bruce the raw nerve, Bruce who's angry all the time, and who's maybe the most human of all of them. How the hell did you DO that, Ruffalo? Jesus.
And Thor with his kicked-puppy face and Clint wanting to know how many agents he killed and Tony lying down on the wire and GOD DAMN IT, PHIL. I just. I have no more words, I only have flail and dolphin noises, and I haven't even gotten around to Loki.
