So, the OTW is having a membership drive. I would very much like to contribute, but given the current state of my bank account, between moving and buying for the shop, that would probably not be wise. However! I would like to offer a tiny incentive to those who have already contributed or are thinking of doing so.

If you have donated to the OTW any time this year, leave a comment with a character from a fandom I know. I will tell you three true things about that character. Fandoms include BtVS, Angel, Avengers, AtLA, Korra, Doctor Who (classic and modern), Discworld, Wimseys, Vorkosigans, Young Wizards, Temeraire, Farscape, Firefly, DCU, Parks and Rec, most of Diana Wynne Jones' books, and probably quite a bit more that I can't think of at the moment.

1. Janet has never quite decided whether she likes not being able to do magic. Some days, she sees how much trouble you can get into, and is relieved; other days she's terribly jealous.
2. Janet was never much of a one for fantastic fiction, back in her old world. Now that she lives in a fantastic world, she can't find the kinds of stories people told back home, and she sort of misses them.
3. She loves having a brother. She hadn't minded being an only child at home, but now she doesn't know what she'd do without Cat.
