So, who's read the first issue of Neil Gaiman's 1602? I though it was intriguing as heck, and playing spot-the-mutant was fun. "If a Devil is one who dares..." Hee. Also, the big ol' X on Scotius is... not subtle, but amusing anyway. And I want more Queen Elizabeth. And I haven't decided yet whether the Grand Inquisitor is Magneto, though it's pretty likely. So. Yeah.

I read your note over in "Jossverse in Other Media," and thought I'd check things out here. So far I'm suitably impressed by 1602. I think Gaiman is doing a good job translating the characters over to another century. I liked the brief conversation between Matthew Murdock and Capt. Nelson, who I assume must be "Foggy" Nelson.

Also, Nick Fury is wonderful as an Elizabethan spy-master. Very, very yummy.

I almost don't give a damn about this Templar Treasure. (Templars...yawn). I just want to see more about how the Marvelverse operates in Elizabethan times.
