holliSo I got Volume II of The Sandman, while I was out last night with Hil and Shira. I wouldn't have, if I'd known the new Terry Pratchett was out already, but oh well. It was quite cool, though (as is usually the case with The Sandman) also quite disturbing. The convention-- brr. Loved Hob Gadling's story, a lot. Since I haven't read past Volume II, I'm very intrigued by Desire's mention of "the prodigal." Don't tell me who it is, though-- I want to be surprised.
I also saw "Lost in Translation" last night, and enjoyed it muchly. Such a sweet, sad story, and both Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson were excellent. And Giovanni Ribisi! I didn't know he was in it!
The highlight of the evening? Setting things on fire after we finished the marshmallows at CosÃ. It should probably worry me that everyone I know is a pryromaniac, but mostly it just makes me feel at home.
