Ta ra ra, boom de ay

holliHmm. So, I've got thing up and cantering, which is of the good. The rest of the world, not so much.
Anyhoo... here's my life. My great-grandmother died yesterday-- she was 97, so not too horribly shocking. She had a good life, I'd like to think. Web design grade has been shot to hell, thanks to my frelling final project, which was half my grade and sucked like a nympho vacuum cleaner. Got the same insano-incompetent English teacher as last semester, and don't have the super-cool Modern World History teacher who insisted we be organized in such a way so as to give me As. Did get an A on the oceanography exam; offset somewhat by the C in chemistry. Frell.
Not to mention my typing ability and the stupid "f" key, which only works if I hit it three times, hard. Stupid piece-of-dren keyboard.
And I'm using swear words from a show on the Sci-Fi Channel that won't be in new episodes until APRIL. And the X-Files is, mercifully I guess, going off the air. And Seth Green doesn't love me back.
Sad little fangirlgeek, over here, aren't I?
Meh. At least Buffy's still promising. And there's always reruns-- got my S1 DVDs from Amazon last week and am deeply in lurve. Shy!Willow! Babyfat!Buffy! SexyHyena!Xander! ::siiigh::
Oh, and my BBG chapter, which made me MIT mom for a second term, has pretty much entrusted me with our future. or at least, the part of it that involves having people in the chapter. I got a big long list of 8th-and-9th-grade Jewish girls, who I made telemarketer-esque calls to all Tuesday night.
"Hi, my name is Holli. I'm calling as part o a membership drive for Aviva BBG, part of the B'nai B'rith Jewish Youth Organization. We were wondering if you'd be interested in meeting our chapter at a dance February 9--- hello? Hello?
"Bitch."
So that's going well. Hey, if anyone reading this is a girl, in high school, Jewish, and living in the D.C. area-- email me. I don't know how thrilled the rest of the chapter will be if they find out I've been recruiting over the Internet, but they can bite my white-girl butt.
Not really-- that's gross. And a Magnetic Fields song just came up on the mp3 doohickey, so I'm feeling soothed.
Leaving now-- more on my so-called lie later. Well, not really-- I liked the show and all, but I'm more of a genre girl.
