"Well, why us? Why not just grab anyone?" Robin seemed pretty nonchalant about the whole idea of reality-shifting demons, but Dawn figured that made sense. Comic book characters had to be the only people with weirder lives than a Scooby. "Is there something in particular about us-- and you-- that makes it easier for him to switch dimensions?"

"Well, actually, there's something in the texts about that. The translations are kind of vague for that section-- not to mention scorched-- but he seems to need beings of great... power. Except 'power' isn't quite the concept. It's more like... 'narrative importance.'"
