I had a very weird, unsettling dream last night, and I *think* it's one I've had before. I also remember thinking, in the dream, that it was jsut like an episode of Angel, but that didn't make me any less creeped out by it. I dreamed that I was at a birthday party at (I think; it's vague) a model home, and I remember before the party started that a lot of b.org people were hanging around in the basement of the house with me, talking and having fun. It was a really nice basement, too, with a library and an office where I believe shrift worked. stephl was there, too. But everyone went upstairs to the party but me-- I don't remember why I stayed behind-- and when I finally went up to where the party was they were about to cut the cake. This is the bit that was like an episode of Angel. Everyone seemed really happy and normal, and the DJ announced that it was the moment we'd all been waiting for, and they rolled out the cake, and then instead of singing "Happy Birthday" everyone started chanting the sort of thing you'd expect the lame bad guys in an episode of Buffy to chant. I, naturally, was freaked out by this, but I went along with the chanting until I could slip out and flee back to the basement. I waited there until the party was over-- for some reason, I didn't think it was safe to leave the house until everyone else was gone-- and when Steph came and found me, she was acting like she'd been brainwashed and didn't remember any of the weird stuff that happened at the party. Very freaky.

I also had another dream, much earlier in the night, that was set in some sort of, like, magical kingdom, full of tiny people who could fly and vaguely medieval hairstyles. But I don't remember anything of it other than the the kingdom was at war, and something surprising happening.
