Just got back from Shakespeare in the park with [livejournal.com profile] paula_kelley. Very fun! The fireflies were out, the actors were good, and the guy playing Oberon had niiiiice muscles, and no shirt on for most of the play. I did get mosquito-bitten all to hell, but that's my own fault for being out of doors after 7 PM without bug spray.

Saw both "War of the Worlds" and "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" this weekend; thoughts to follow. my family has been spending as much time as possible out of the house-- at restaurants or movies or wherever-- because we still lack air conditioing. But we're getting it back on Wednesday!

Work is still tiring, but my kids are really cute. I'm not yet used to the way they'll randomly attach themselves, limpet-like, to the nearest adult, especially when that adult is me. But still, cute. Some of them are much better at art than you'd expect them to be, first-grade motor skills being what they are.

[livejournal.com profile] periwinklepixie is the best ever. He knows why.

I have come into posession of a shopping bag full of vintage bow ties. I'm not really sure what to do with them. Any ideas?

Sew them onto things!

Also, you are not an adult.

Ooh! bow ties!

I'd make a big circle skirt and applique them on. So cute!

A skirt? or you could applique one around the neck of a white button down shirt, for a perpetually casual look
