I went to a ball game! Specifically, the Nationals vs. the Astros, and I guess I rooted for the Nats because, you know, I live here, but I know so little about the actual workings of the sport as to be comical. But it was fun! Perfect day for baseball-- not too hot, cloudless blue sky, and we were right behind home plate, about nine rows back in the second section.
Although, I have to say, the price gouging had reached truly epic proportions. They were charging *five dollars for ice cream*. Unless that ice cream is fed to you by handsome young men in tight pants, that is too much money for ice cream.

It is all about vaguely not paying attention till the ball is in the air and everybody on tenterhooks waiting to see where it falls. I think really high seats in stadiums are pretty neat (despite their being so far) because then the ball is coming up to your eye level on popups.
