Jul. 31st, 2005 05:20 pmMy shins, of all places, are terribly sunburned. The rest of me is fine; in fact, I have quite a nice tan going on my arms, but my shins are prickly and uncomfortable, and by kneecaps are sort of blotchy. Not really sure how that happened.
I got some books that look very interesting today, at the outlet mall: a copy of Don't Panic, Neil Gaiman's companion book to the Hitchkiker's Guide to the Galaxy; an anythology of fairy stories (which apparently has a Neil Gaiman short story in it also), and a copy of The War of the Worlds, because I've been meaning to see what the real version loks like. Tonight we're going to the boardwalk, and tomorrow, with any luck, I'll make it to a thrift store or two, and probably more outlets. Despite having been up since 8 AM, I feel surprisingly relaxed, although I have a feeling this would be *way* more fun if any of y'all were here, and that y'all includes both the imaginary internet people on my flist and all you RL people. At the very least, I'd have someone to bury up to the neck in sand and sculpt a mermaid body on top of.
