Sep. 20th, 2005 12:39 pmSo, I bought an entire outfit at the Renn Fest on Sunday. Oh, god, it is *so pretty*, and totally worth the absurd amount of money I spent on it. I got a bodice, blouse, overskirt and underskirt, all in gold and blue, and I loooove eeeet to biiiiiits. According to
paula_kelley, I look like the governer's daughter in it, which... oookay. She got an outfit too-- actually, two of them, because her bodice is reversible, and she got an extra skirt, so she can go from respectable to wenchy with remarkable ease.
We actually wore our clothes *out of the store*, because they were just too pretty to change back out of. As it turns out, the minute you put on garb at the Renn Fest, every *other* person in costume suddenly acknowleges your existence. It's great! And sort of hilarious.
The downside is that I'm not buying any more comics for the rest of the year, because of the ridiculous amount of money I spent this weekend. Oh, did I mention that I went to the Baltimore Comic-Con on Sunday? Yeah. This was my weekend for nerd expenditures, clearly, but my First Appearance Nightwing is so, so worth it. Sort-of-fortunately for me, DC is making it *really fucking easy* to not buy comics lately, so my budget can recover.
What else is there? Oh, right, I have a job now. It really doesn't *feel* like work, because I mostly just play with adorable children for three hours a day, and then get paid for it! And, really, the kids are *so cute* Though-- and I think this is because it's a private school for really wealthy people-- many of the kids have weird names. Like Evo, and Sojourner, and, I kid you not, Bear.
Also, I finished painting my room! Hooray.
And p.s., zee, I promise I'm writing the Billy/Teddy. Because, you know, *someone* has to, and fandom is not getting with the program.
