I'm sure everyone has already had Illegal Zombie-Actor Cage Fighting pop up on their flist, but if not, holy crap, go read it *immediately,* because it is the kind of crack we need more of, as a people.

As is this. Does anyone still have a link to the long-ago creation of the vagely Babylonian AU that I'm pretty sure is where "I love you, Scary Bat God!" came from? Because grim, dutiful Timmy is the best thing about *both* of these.

Bizarrely enough, yes I do (http://www.livejournal.com/users/buggery/78296.html).

There's not a single word I don't like in "Illegal Zombie-Actor Cage Fighting" but I'm getting the impression this is some fandom with which I am unfamiliar.

well, it's RPF. In which the casts of Battlestar Galactica, both Stargates, and Lost conspire against Ron Moore. And Ben Browder cage-fights a zombie. And Mary McDonnell is an evil mastermind.

If all RPF was like this? I would really, really like RPF.

This concept of RPF frightens and confuses me (what does it stand for?). As I don't watch any of the above shows, I fear further confusion will spread with me. On the other hand, Ben Browder versus a zombie? *proceeds to skim through story looking for it* Oooo...

RPF stands for Real People Fic. Usually it *is* frightening and confusing, but in this case it is wonderful. And [livejournal.com profile] jennyo thoughtfully compiled a list (http://www.livejournal.com/users/jennyo/560228.html#cutid1) of things you need to know to get all the jokes.

And anyway, you really don't need *that* much background information to enjoy the following:

Mary pinched the bridge of her nose; she was supposed to call home tonight. Maybe read some of the reviews of a few Broadway shows, look over a script or two her agent had faxed up. But no, she had decided on the path of righteous revenge. And now Ben Browder was in spandex, being cheered on to cage fight a zombie.

*snerk!* that's astounding. Ah, the mother from Donnie Darko would be an evil mastermind, for some reason...
