Mar. 3rd, 2006 10:19 pmI found a whole bunch of nifty paper stuff at the thrift store today: a Shakespeare Coloring Book from 1970, this neat book of repro paper dolls, an interesting little volme from 1964 called Our Friends the Germs. And, awesomely, a giant stack of comics! There was a whole longbox full, most of it mid-90s Image crap, but I got 15 or so things that look neat, mostly Marvel from the mid-70s.
DC:
Mister Miracle #22, Feb 1978
The Sandman #2, May 1975
The Forever People #2, May 1971
Super Team Family Presents Green Lantern and Hawkman #12, Sept 1977
Marvel:
Captain America and the Falcon #205, Jan 1976
Captain America and the Falcon #211, July 1977
Captain America and the Falcon #220, 1978
Avengers #151, Sept 1976
Avengers #152, Oct 1976 (in which the Avengers appear to be fighting a man dressed as a chicken, wtf)
Black Panther #2, March 1976
Black Panther #5, Sept 1977
Daredevil #118, Feb 1974
Amazing Spider-Man #145, June 1975
Silver Surfer #5, April 1969
Tales To Astonish Presents Sub-Mariner #6, May 1980
Sub-Mariner #53, Sept 1972
Most of these look heavy on the crack, and I definitely saw a bunch on Hostess Fruit Pie ads, so that's money well spent.
