Since my poor laptop (sob! Tim, baby!) has taken to making horrible buzzing noises for no apparent reason (it's not right now, but *just you wait*) I may be only sporadically on the internets for the forseeable future. Anyone with suggestions, I would more than appreciate them-- right now, the plan is to finish backing up all my data and then wipe the hard drive, but I suspect at least part of the problem is that the fan is clogged, which will require handing my baby over to the Apple people to be cracked open. And the last time I did that, they *lost my computer*. So. Eep.

In other news, am rereading a bunch of Tamora Pierce books. Heroines as sparkly as ever. Nothing further to report.

Oh, wait: anyone want to see Monster House in 3-D IMAX?

Well, you can either wind it around your neck and let the ends hang loose (or tie them in a loose knot) or you can fold it in half, put it around your neck and pull the loose ends through the folded end. Both are very pretty!

If it *is* the fan, a hefty dose of compressed air in the fan vents (and along the keyboard, and any other openings) might do good things. If you don't do this regularly, you might wanna do it where dust won't matter, though.

Well, I don't think it's still under warranty, so I don't know if they *would* give me a whole new computer. And if they didn't, well, that would SUCK.
