I met a a cute guy who is actually interested in me (in an way, not the we met in a bar and hen only wants one thing way) and actually shares my religious beliefs. That's basically what most of my LJ posts are about lately . . .
And, random, unrelated comment. I think thye old school fire engine on your journal is way intesting . . . but what's wrong with princesses? I totally understand the aversion to the Disney princess, frilly dress and no personality stereotype (even though I LIKE frilly dresses). My opinion is that princesses come in all shapes and sizes and can totally be the butt-kicking type who doesn't need a prince to do her dragon-slaying.
I think you could be a princess and be the type to say to Prince Charming when he rides up on his noble steed, "Oh, hi. I was just looking for my saber to slay a couple of dragons. You're welcome to come along if you want." Or it could be a fellow princess from a nearby kingdom who happened by on her way to Home Depot to make some minor repairs to her castle.
I think Disney got the princess idea wrong with Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Think Princess Fiona from Shrek. She's not even "classically pretty," AND she kicks butt. But she's a princess, too, which means simply that she's of royal . Nothin' wrong with that.
