oh my god I almost FORGOT: while I was driving this morning, I passed the best street sign of all time ever, and almost didn't believe my eyes. But no, there it was, an ordinary green street sign that read: LOIS LA.

Lois Lane exists! As a *street*, yes, but still. AWESOME.

Also, watched the first four episodes of Ugly Betty tonight. Am entertained, but not quite *hooked*.

A year or two ago, I think I saw one of them as well! But then, I've always suspected that there are a bunch of jokesters (mixed in with the dreadfully unoriginal) on street-naming commitees, or however it's done.

I've been tempted to check out Ugly Betty,. but my suspicion is that the original, Yo soy Betty la Fea is better.

Betty la Fea is an actual telenovela, right? which means it's-- well, Passions is probably its closest American equivalent.
