yet more true things
Jan. 27th, 2003 11:25 pm13. My new shampoo makes my hair smell like Pez.
14. I have only ever kissed one boy. He was also my only boyfriend.
15. I'm about damn ready to kiss someone else, but I'm still waiting for the opportunity to present itself.
16. I used to be able to read while walking down a crowded hallway, but I've let this skill atrophy since middle school.
17. I still have to remind myself not to stare at the floor when I walk, not to avoid meeting people's gaze between classes at school, not to shuffle my feet and hunch my shoulders. I picked up all those habits in middle school-- surprise, surprise.
18. I still have to remind myself occasionally that I'm not that sad, shy girl anymore.
19. I have three double-jointed toes on my right foot. They really freak people out.
20. I have been to the following foreign countries: Canada, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Cyprus, the Canary Islands (are they part of Spain or their own country?), Portugal (well, Madeira), and the airports of France and Switzerland.
21. I have been to or driven through every state on the Eastern seabord south of New York, plus Alaska, but nowhere else.
22. I'm currently fixated on Livejournal icons.
23. In seventh grade, I was a hard-core Beanie Baby collector.
24. I own more books than anyone in my family, immediate and beyond.
25. I don't have the faintest clue where I'm going to be in ten years, but apparently I have more "direction" than most high schoolers because I know what kind of college I want to go to and I have a vague idea of what I want to major in. This worries me.

Also this.
You are FAR ahead of me, and I really admire that.

Date: 2003-01-28 07:28 pm (UTC)Hmm, I'm 22 and I still find myself doing this ever so often as well. I wonder what it's about? I certainly don't suffer from lack of confidence these days, though there was a time when I was sort of shy. Can that simple trait follow you for the rest of your life?

20/21.
That's almost as many countries as I've been to. Do you like to travel?

I find this to be truer and truer. I TA a PS6A (that's Introduction to Political Science: Political Analysis) and I find that kids are getting less and less ambitious. A very bad sign.
