So I've been reading everyone's responses to the "how did you choose your pseud" meme with interest, because I find it kind of neat how people come up with their online identities.

Sadly, I have no interesting story, because my LJ name is... my actual name. Which I sort of regret, because it makes it entirely too likely for comfort that a member of my family will find this journal. But I signed up for Table Talk eight years ago with my real name and have used it ever since, and now it's kind of too late to change. Horse, barn door, etc.

If I *were* to adopt a pseud, it would probably be Nona or some variation therof, because Nona Mecklenberg was my favorite character from Pete & Pete. Plus, I already have a gmail account I give to places I don't want spam from under the name "Nonasuch". But it really is waaaaaay too late for that.

Really, it's not as hard as you think. I was [real name] on TT for years, then changed to Vortex for the new b.org board. And then used Sowilo when I got an LJ. I am still [real name] in several places (which is fine beause it's incredibly common, google "me", you get over a million hits, none of which are me). People were a little confused at first, but got used to it :) of course, I sometimes have to sign emails with Steph/Vortex/Sowilo :)
