two random things

Does anyone else's brain supply voice actors for comics and other written work they read? I almost always do this, but only rarely is it a specific, outside-my-head voice-- Kevin Conroy, for instance, is always and forever Batman, whatever I'm reading; but usually my brain just composites up something that sounds right.

The thing is, I just now realized that the voice I hear for Natalya, the Russian girl in Y: The Last Man, is the Russian girl from Captain Planet. Which is a little odd, and leads me to wonder why my Yorick voice is not Wheeler, because that would be *kind of awesome*.

The second thing: there's an *excellent* comment thread discussing the likelihood of intelligent extraterrestrial life over at Pharyngula.
