Really nervous that no one is going to sign up for the workshop I'm running this weekend.

We're making Christmas ornaments from vintage paper, and I have a PILE of pretty materials assembled (including four boxes of coverless vintage books), but that will do me no good if no one signs up. Augh augh augh.

If anyone here is interested in papercraft, it's at 10:30 AM on the 8th, two hours for $20, and, I solemnly swear, really fun. You can sign up here.

Today's prompt: Your favorite artist or art style

This is actually hard to answer, because I really like some wildly disparate things. I adore Art Nouveau, especially Mucha-- I have this Mucha print and this one framed on my walls. I also really love 1920s and 30s children's book illustrations, late 19th/early 20thc amateur botanical paintings, and midcentury amateur portraiture-- those are all things I have on my walls. And there are some modern-day indie illustrators I like a lot, too-- people like Jen Corace and Perrin, who don't exactly have similar styles.

I guess you could say I know what I like when I see it. Beyond that, it's hard to predict.
