Oh, god. My initial reaction to this was bursting into hysterical tears for fifteen minutes, because no, no, no, this is not something that should ever happen in a world with any kind of fairness in it. But, of course, we don't live in one of those.

I have decided that, actually, Pterry should have died a year or so back, during his heart operation. However, he cunningly distracted Death with a sandwich and therefore every year after that is a bonus. *nods*
