So my grandma invited me to see figure skating at the Verizon Center tonight, which, whee! sparkly! So I said yes, and invited

paula_kelley along as well. Then I got the tickets, and realized it was, in fact, "The Music Of Seal: On Ice."

Then we got there, and realized it was *actually Seal, singing while people figure skated,* and seriously, you guys, I have never had a more awesomely cheesy experience *in my life.* Apparently it's airing on NBC January 1, and I *highly recommend* that you watch it. Although I suspect a lot of the best parts will be edited out, such as Brian Boitano having to restart his routine three times and then accidentally calling Seal "Steel."

Also, did you know this? The reason people never fall down during TV figure skating specials is that they reshoot the mistakes afterwards! I am SHOCKED AND APPALLED, people.

Other highlights: Brian Boitano wearing the gayest shirt in world history, one guy doing like three backflips, and leather pants everywhere you look. Hoo boy.

Also. I have *completely* lost my voice, and my head continues full of snot. Augh.
