oh, right, i should mention this!
Aug. 26th, 2008 08:10 pmHave I mentioned that I'm going to Dragoncon?
Because, uh, I'm going to Dragoncon! Also, I'm scrambling to put the last bits of a Kaylee costume together, which would be easier if my car was not in the shop! But I should have it back in the morning, so that's okay!
So, now you know. Hooray!
(Top Secret Backup Costume is not going as well, but I have hope!)

Date: 2008-08-27 12:27 am (UTC)Uh, see you at a Firefly panel?
(Although actually, probably not, because those are usually insanely crowded, and they're planning to broadcast the big panels on the con channel this year.) But, um. Torchwood? Stargate?

Date: 2008-08-27 02:35 am (UTC)And, well, this is my first big con-- really, first con period, the Baltimore Comic-Con should *not* count-- so I have no idea what there is to do, really.

Date: 2008-08-27 03:50 pm (UTC)Everything in the world. But general advice, the panels held in the Centential rooms in the Hyatt are the big ones. My guess is that the BSG ones this year will be insane, with the Firefly and Stargate ones running second. If it's important for you to get a seat close to the front, you will need to stand in line for those, or have a friend standing in line. They usually start lining up at the beginning of the panel before -- so for a 4:00 panel, you'd need to get in line around 2:30.
Yes, it's a little insane. There are lots of people. In the big room, though, there are video screens, so you can see even if you're sitting in the back.
