um, okay, so I just got woken out of a sound sleep by my roomates, who informed that our pipes had frozen and there was water coming into the basement, and did I have any stuff on the floor there I didn't want to get wet? Which, in fact, would be ALL OF MY STUFF. ALL OF IT. I don't think anything got wet that really really shouldn't get wet, and roomates are currently trying to shut off the water, but holy jesus is that an unpleasant way to be woken up.

Well, the landlord's supposed to be here in about half an hour to fix it, but we've had no water all day; I am stinky and cannot do laundry, and my plans to get out of the house and run errands are pretty well foiled.

Mt Pleasant's pipes froze, which then caused them to burst, which then started an electrical fire! What an interesting night!
