and lo, the thrifting gods smiled upon us
Feb. 13th, 2010 04:38 pmSo it seems the one upside to snowmaggedon is that nobody's been out to the thrifts this whole week:
seize and I hit Value Village, and in addition to a ton of kitchen stuff we've been needing, I found three dresses and a jacket. I got an Isaac Mizrahi for Target dress in my size with the tags still on, a yellow dress in my absolute favorite cut (surplice neckline, cap sleeves, midriff band, full skirt), and, I swear, the absolute last blue-and-white striped shirtdress I'm going to buy, ever. No, seriously. I'm done! Third time's the charm! The jacket is interesting-- very 70s-does-40s, and possibly a little too dramatic for me, but it was $5 and if I don't wear it I can probably resell it.
Village Thrift has their discount day tomorrow, so we'll see if my luck holds.
Also: room pictures! My room is about as organized and put-together as it's ever been, and I took some pictures so I'll have proof that it was ever this tidy. Also because, I have to say, it's pretty cute. Despite the tiny cameraphone pics. Uh, I'll work on that.
