On a comment thread elsewhere, someone equated the Wimseys with Miles and Ekaterin Vorkosigan. Then my brain decided that what the world really, really needs is fic where the Wimseys, traveling with the Doctor and the Ponds, land on Barrayar, and hijinks, quite naturally, ensue.

I don't think I want to be the one who writes it, though, mostly because my brain can barely encompass the majesty of the idea on its own, much less a whole story of it. Maybe I can work on the thing where Azula goes on a quest, instead.

Well, yes. I think the idea was that Miles and Ekaterin needed a "Have His Carcase," because they skipped straight from "Strong Poison" to "Gaudy Night."

Also, I like "A Civil Campaign!" It's Jane Austen in space! I always approve of Jane Austen in space.

There is pretty much nothing that is not better if you add “… in SPACE” to the end.

or

“Our buses are tracked … FROM SPACE.”?
