holliSo I have a gorgeous '40s dress-and-jacket set (on the right here) that I bought at Big Flea over a year ago. It didn't fit. Too small in the hips. Well, I have lost 10-15 pounds over the last couple of months (thanks, new meds!), and today I got up the nerve to try the dress on.
IT FITS. Like a dream. I had been working up to listing it on Etsy, and I am SO HAPPY that I don't have to! This is even making me renew my commitment to learning to do '40s hairstyles, so as to complement the dress. Maybe I can wear it to Dragoncon next year, and impress Darwyn Cooke.
(I am aware that this is a really shallow post. Sorry, but the dress is just that cute.)
