tiny things
Mar. 25th, 2011 12:14 pmBack from an estate sale, which was billed as having lots of vintage toys, books, and dolls. Boy howdy, did it ever. I think it would be quicker to list the things these people *didn't* collect. I went looking for some little things for the fairy garden project I'm going to do with the kids at work-- basically, they build fairy gardens, and then the fairies "visit" them overnight and leave presents and decorations. So I've been sewing tiny buntings and making tiny paper chains and a couple of tiny quilts and pillows, and today I got some itty-bitty clothespins and a bunch of tiny flowerpots with fabric flowers. Also a bunch of little glass bottles, which I plan to fill with glitter and label "fairy dust."
I really wanted some of the books, but they weren't practical to buy for reselling at my booth-- they were charging what I would have charged anyway! Maybe I'll go back Sunday and buy some things at a discount. Like the spectacular teal-trimmed yo-yo quilt I was eyeing, that I couldn't justify at $50.
