What's your living situation?

[holli]

I live in a house in College Park, outside D.C., with a bunch of housemates. They originally were fannish friends, but those moved out to, variously, live with parents and go to grad school in California, so now I live with people I found on Craigslist. One of them is totally a feral fan, though-- consumes lots of fannish media, but doesn't participate in fandom.

How's thrift store interning on the weekends going? Are you learning lots about being a proprietor?

[holli]

I think it's going pretty well! I feel like I've learned a lot about how the day-to-day running of the store works, and have a much clearer sense of how I want to run things once I have my own place. (My way will involve using computers a bit more for recordkeeping, I suspect.) It's also just really nice to spend time around like-minded people, and I think I'm making some good contacts.

Are you local to the DC area? If not, what made you decide to move here?

[holli]

I'm local-- grew up in the suburbs. The only time I've lived outside of the DC area was for two years in Lancaster, PA, where I went to school. There is nothing to do in Lancaster, PA.
