Okay, I just had a story idea which I do not think I am going to write, so I am offering it up to the Internet at large. I really, really want a story where the Avengers have to fight crime at a con, and everyone mistakes them for cosplayers. Does that exist already? God, I hope so.

(Also: at the Masquerade, somebody cosplays Cap *and the showgirls* doing "Star-Spangled Man," and Cap is all OH MY GOD.)

I imagine he has a rollicking good time, and has no idea what's going on. I'm trying to imagine--

Like, I can see him finding some WOW cosplayers and being like "These look like sensible folk! Maybe they can tell me where one goes to find game on Midgard?" Or just buying out an entire stall of Avengers t-shirts, even the ones that are just close-ups of everyone butts.
