holliMonday I went to Antiques Row in Kensington to poke around. When I went into one of the shops, the owner (who knows me from numerous previous visits, and knows I have a shop) said "Oh! I've been saving some things for you." Now I have three 1950s square dancing outfits and three really fabulous dresses.
One of which, an adorable 1950s dirndl (made in West Germany!), I am now wearing. I have always wanted to own a dirndl, so this is a satisfactory outcome.
But I am a little worried that I have reached the point where people who own antique shops hold back things they think I'll like, confident that I will buy them.
Also I am going to look at a rack of 1950s dresses in Arlington on Monday. I am starting to worry about overbuying, but if the universe doesn't want me to buy clothes it should really stop putting so much amazing stuff in my path.
